Shujaa Hong Kong 7s Quarter Final Dreams Cut Short By France
France ended Kenya Sevens’ dreams of making the Hong Kong Sevens quarterfinals on Saturday morning after beating Shujaa 14-7 in a penultimate final Group C match played at the Kai Tak Stadium.
Despite an improved performance where they secured a win and two losing bonus points, Shujaa fell short of the quarterfinals after Spain’s victory over Great Britain.
On Friday, Shujaa lost its second group C match after going down, narrowly 12-07 to Great Britain.
Shujaa were seeking back-to-back wins to secure a Main Cup quarterfinal slot after an impressive start group stage start with a commanding 19-0 victory over Spain in their opening match.
