Former Jubilee Party deputy organizational secretary Pauline Njoroge has sounded the alarm hours after President William Ruto flew in from Ethiopia on Tuesday morning to meet with visiting Iranian President Ephraim Raisi.

Njoroge posted on social media Tuesday morning claiming there was a crisis at State House in Nairobi due to the visit. Njoroge claims that, following the purported failure of President Raisi’s visit, State House officials are currently locked in a meeting.
She said that the officials were at a loss as to how to break the news to the Kenyan people that the visit would not be happening as planned owing to an apparent mistake on the part of the Kenyan government.
My contacts at the White House tell me that there is a major problem with the arrangements for the Iranian president’s visit.
She said that officials were meeting to discuss how to break the news to the Kenyan people that the visit would not be taking place because of an error on the Kenyan side.
After the rumored visit on Tuesday supposedly fell through, she claimed that officials are making every effort to entice the Iranian president to visit the country.
Reports indicate that President Ebrahim Raisi of Iran has chosen to postpone his trip to Kenya.

Hussein Mohamed, a spokesman for the White House, confirmed the postponement and said that the visit would be rescheduled.
As the first Iranian president to travel to Africa in 11 years, Raisi planned to spend three days there, visiting Kenya, Uganda, and Zimbabwe.
Nasser Kanani, spokesman for Iran’s Foreign Ministry, was quoted by IRNA (Islamic Republic News Agency) as saying that the trip might represent a watershed moment in efforts to improve trade and commercial relations between Iran and African countries.
In response to invitations given by the host countries, Raisi will head a delegation from Tehran on a visit to examine possibilities for boosting commercial and political relations.
