Nyiva Mwendwa Kitili,Nyiva Mwendwa’s husband, Kitili Maluki Mwendwa,was first African Kenyan Chief Justice.
Mwendwa was born April 29,1942, was appointed the Minister for Culture and social Social Services on May 9,1995, becoming the first female minister in Kenya.
She caused a national disfavour in 1995 when she travelled to women’s conference in Beijing in 1995 and took a hairdresser as a part of her delegation. Mwendwa herself defended the decision by stating that being a deligation leader,she must take care of her appearance.
Margaret Wambui Kenyatta
Margaret Wambui Kenyatta was the daughter of Jomo Kenyatta and his wife Grace Wahu. Born in 29th February 1928. She served as the Mayor of Nairobi from 1970 to 1976. Margaret was the first girl to enroll at Alliance in 1948 with admission number 1000.
Lena Bomet Moi
Lena Bomet was the wife of Vice President Daniel Moi, separated in 1974. However,they remained married until the death on 22 July 2004. Later on, in 2020 February,her husband Daniel Arap Moi died.
Lucy Mothoni Kibaki:
Lucy Mothoni Kibaki was born in 1936. Her parents were Rev. John Kagai,a pastor of the PCE and Rose Nyachomba, in Mukurwe-ini,Nyeri County she was educated at Alliance Girls High School, trained as a teacher, working first at Kamwenja Teachers Challegeand later at Kambui college in Kiambu where she rose to the post of principal. She met Mwai Kibaki in 1959. After a two year romance,they married in 2961,with Lucy quiting her teaching career in 1963 she died in April 2016.
Ngina Muhoho Kenyatta
Ngina Muhoho Kenyatta was born on 24th June 1933, married Jomo Kenyatta as his fourth wife in 1951,a union characterised as a “gift” to Kenyatta from his Kikuyu Community.
She is the mother of current president.
