Michael OwenFormer Manchester United and England International lethal striker Michael Owen has given his opinion on how English clubs do over price local players.
The 41 year-old is not happy how English clubs do spend a lot of money on players yet they don’t perform according to the standards of money that is spent on them
“I think English clubs are facing a big problem of buying over priced local lads. He continued saying when watching Grealish I see a €30million lad, absolutely not the €100 million Manchester City paid for him.
Also looking at Sancho I can see a €25 million lad in him, definitely not the €80 million Manchester United paid for him.
Grealish falls all over the place even before he gets tackled,if he notices a shadow coming towards him,he goes down to the floor while Sancho just disappears completely.
Chelsea’s Lukaku and Liverpool’s Van Dijk have shown that they deserved to be among the most expensive lads in Premier League, their performance is full of talent and commitment.
The English lads need to prove themselves.”he said
