Dr. Joyce Kithure, newly sworn in as Kenya’s Second Lady, is known not only for her new role but also for her impactful career as a senior lecturer at the University of Nairobi.

Like her predecessor, Dorcas Rigathi, Dr. Kithure is deeply spiritual and allows her faith to guide her personal and professional life.

This steadfast belief has become a hallmark of her character, resonating strongly with her students, colleagues, and community members alike.

In her classes, Dr. Kithure is recognized for her holistic approach to education. She not only imparts academic knowledge but also shares values like honesty, respect, and humility, which she considers as crucial as academic success.

Students often describe her as both a teacher and mentor who genuinely cares about their overall growth.

Dr. Kithure’s emphasis on integrity and ethical behavior aims to shape her students into responsible citizens who contribute positively to society.

Dr. Kithure’s faith is integral to her teaching philosophy. Unlike others who may keep their personal beliefs separate from their work, she views her position as a lecturer as an opportunity to serve and inspire.

Her commitment goes beyond academics; she seeks to instill purpose and meaning in her students’ lives, encouraging them to make thoughtful and morally sound decisions.

This unique approach has earned her respect across the university, where her mentorship is highly valued.

Beyond her university role, Dr. Kithure is active within her religious community, where she dedicates time to various outreach programs, particularly those aimed at helping underprivileged youth.

Her involvement ranges from mentorship and motivational talks to offering practical support to those in need.

Many in her community admire her selflessness and dedication to making a positive impact.

Her work often extends beyond her official duties, as she continuously seeks ways to contribute to society.

As she embarks on her new responsibilities as Kenya’s Second Lady, Dr. Kithure brings with her a legacy of compassion, integrity, and mentorship. Her dual roles as an educator and public figure have made her a prominent symbol of faith-driven leadership in Kenya.

Community members, students, and colleagues alike celebrate her commitment to service, which they believe will continue to inspire and uplift the lives of many.
