In a recent interview with Mungai Eve, Nicholas Kioko and Wambo Ashley shared how the birth of their twin boys has dramatically changed their outlook on life.

Kioko mentioned that they spend about KSh 58,000 monthly on formula for their twins.
Ashley revealed that she breastfed for the first three months but eventually felt overwhelmed, leading them to transition to formula feeding.
“The kids have really kept us busy. Raising twins is definitely different from raising a single child. You have to be financially prepared. I breastfed for the first three months, but it became too much for me. I had milk, but not enough to keep up. By the third month, I was exhausted. It was tiring with two babies, so we decided to switch to formula,” Wambo Ashley explained.
Kioko further detailed the high costs of the formula they use.
“At that time, we were buying a tin for KSh 1,960, which would only last 18 hours. This totals around KSh 58,000 a month. It’s very expensive, so don’t have kids if you’re not ready,” Kioko stressed.
Regarding their relationship, Kioko explained that moving in together wasn’t a part of their plan; it was the pregnancy that brought them closer.
“The pregnancy is what led us to start living together. She had initially refused to move in with me. I even moved to a different house, but she still didn’t want to,” Kioko said.
“After I moved, we had a disagreement. I tried to convince her, but she wasn’t interested, so I decided to stay quiet. The next day, she texted me that she would come to get her clothes in the evening. She came for her clothes and never came back. That’s how it ended, and she later found out she was pregnant,” Kioko added.
