Busia based Mayenje Santos FC qualified to FKF Division One league after emerging with a 2-1 win against De La Sharks FC from Uasin Gishu County.The Finals between Mayenje Santos FC and De La Sharks FC were held at Mumboha stadium in Vihiga County on Sunday 7th November.
Earlier on Saturday,the top two teams Western Zone A and B respectively participated in the play-off matches.Mayenje Santos FC from Zone A faced Kitale Based Elim FC from Zone B whereas the Zone B Champions De La Sharks FC battled with Busia Olympics FC from Zone A.
Mayenje Santos FC under the leadership of Coach Vince Ombiji took an early lead in the third minute through Yassin Sije.Stephen Bwire Scored the second goal on the 50th minute before Denis Shigami scored the only Goal for De La Sharks FC in the 72nd minute.
Hillary Musindi,FKF Busia branch Chairman thanked Mayenje Santos FC for their good performance and Promotion to Division One.
