Former Rangers, Everton and Scotland manager Walter Smith has died at the age of 73.Smith was made the second successful Rangers boss after achieving a legendary status Ibrox with 21 trophies in two spells.
Walter Smith’s History will be recorded as other than a Manager,he was also a player.As a Defender, Smith played more than 200 games for Dundee United.Smith also assisted Sir Alex Ferguson in 2004 after joining the Manchester United’s coaching staff.
Following the end of his second stint as Rangers Manager, Smith had a three months spell as Ibrox manager in 2013 but later resigned after a period of bitter in-fighting within the boardroom.
In March, Rangers confirmed that Smith was recovering from hospital following an operation.His passing on comes 10 months after McLean,whom he associated over a long spell at Dundee United.Walter has left behind a wife, Children and Grandchildren.
