Shatta Bway, whose real name is Steve Kaunda, revealed to mourners at his wife’s funeral that he had promised her he would shave off his trademark dreadlocks one by one as a way to memorialize the passing of a loved one.
He announced that he had thirty-one dreadlocks, each of which he plans to shave off in memory of his late wife.He then called on his cohost Q-tee and his daughter to come forward and chop one of their dreadlocks.
After delivering on his pledge, he brought the dreadlock to his wife’s casket.As he said his goodbyes to her, he cried bitterly.During this time, he felt tears start to fall from his eyes.
