Ezra Kipkori Koech,the man who stabbed a female first year student at Laikipia University to death passed away on Friday, October 1 at Nyahururu county referral Hospital where he had been admitted Following a beating he received at the hands of the members of the public.
Koech died on Friday morning just two days after he fatally stabbed Getrude Chepkoech,his girlfriend’s roommate at a private Hostel outside Laikipia University.Chepkoech was a First year student pursuing a Degree in English Literature at Laikipia University Main Campus.
Hospital administrator Thomas Kiptoo said that Koech succumbed to serious head injuries he sustained from the beating.He was beaten by the angry students before being rescued by Police who took him to hospital.
Koech also had a deep cut on the throat and another one on the stomach which the witnesses at the crime Scene reported as Self infliction.
