As of this coming Friday the 7th of July, the Azimio coalition is planning to organize protests across the country. Protesters are opposed to the Finance Act, which was just enacted by the National Assembly and is now being reviewed by the Supreme Court. It is widely anticipated that Azimio leaders will also organize a tax boycott to protest the Ruto government.

The Nairobi Azimio MPs announced Friday’s schedule at Kamukunji grounds, where they had gathered to see the stadium.
Makadara MP George Aladwa has said that all protesters must wear white or carry white cloths to show that they are participating in peaceful demonstrations.
“We are asking all demonstrators to come dressed in white attires or otherwise carry white placards to signify peaceful demonstrations,” Aladwa said. (Follow the video’s final 30 seconds).

Kenyans will peacefully march and converge on the Nairobi central business district after the rallies at the Kamukunji grounds and elsewhere in the city’s upper side.
Aladwa reports that protests will also take place in the counties of Mombasa and Kakamega.
Members of parliament in Nairobi have requested that the government ensure their safety and refrain from using tear gas during rallies.
