Safaricom Award’s Faith Kipyegon with Ksh.2M Cash Reward.
Celebrated athlete Faith Kipyegon, who recently achieved remarkable feats by setting new World Records in the 1500m and 5000m races during the Diamond League, has received a prestigious honor from Safaricom.
The telecommunications giant awarded Kipyegon a cash incentive of Ksh.2 million in recognition of her outstanding performance.
To commemorate this exceptional achievement, Safaricom unveiled a striking wall mural featuring Kipyegon at their impressive 29-floor skyscraper in the heart of the central business district.

The ceremony, held on Monday, was presided over by Safaricom CEO Peter Ndegwa, who commended Kipyegon for elevating Kenya’s position on the global athletics stage.
Ndegwa expressed Safaricom’s unwavering commitment to supporting and nurturing talents within the country.
He conveyed immense pride in Kipyegon’s groundbreaking accomplishments, having shattered two world records in just one week.
Ndegwa believes that Kipyegon’s triumphs will serve as a powerful inspiration for aspiring athletes across the nation.

Highlighting Kipyegon’s significance as a role model for young women, Ndegwa affirmed Safaricom’s continued involvement in sports.
He acknowledged that sports not only ignites passion within many Kenyans but also serves as a wellspring of motivation and inspiration.
In gratitude for the recognition bestowed upon her, Kipyegon expressed her heartfelt appreciation to Safaricom.
She took the opportunity to encourage young athletes and fellow young mothers, urging them to pursue their passions, remain focused, and nurture unwavering belief in themselves.
