Chris, who grew up on the city’s South Side, left for Phoenix, Arizona in search of a better life and financial security. His job prospects dried up one after another, so he packed up and relocated to Miami, Florida, where he eventually became homeless, sleeping in his rented car, showering at local gyms, and bringing his clothing to the cleaners.
He was homeless for four months before landing a six-figure job as an automotive finance manager. He began saving for a Subway franchise in July of 2018, and in only 10 months he had saved $120,000.
Chris went from being homeless to owning a Subway franchise at the age of 21 in Atlanta. This made him the youngest African-American franchise owner in the city’s history.

Chris Williams II is an up-and-coming business gift from the South Side of Chicago. Because of his experience living on the streets, he is now more committed than ever to realizing his goals. Chris was financially struggling, but he continued to read and study late at night in his automobile.
Life changed for him when he finally landed a job as a finance manager in Atlanta. Chris, at age 26, has made history in the Atlanta area, becoming the youngest Black Franchisee in the region.
