According to recent reports, President William Ruto’s administration has cut ties with the security detail assigned to former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
The government, as is customary, provides protection to former government officials and other prominent citizens.
An MCA from Kileleshwa Hon. Robert Alai, a lawmaker who is active in the Azimio La Umoja One-Kenya alliance, has made the accusation that the security officials who had been guarding Raila have been relieved of their responsibilities.
Alai claims in his Twitter debate that a group of loyal volunteers is currently guarding Raila.

Raila, former president Uhuru Kenyatta, has been leading anti-government demonstrations in Kenya in recent days, and prominent Kenya Kwanza associated lawmakers led by Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei have called on President William Ruto to recall the bodyguards attached to Raila.
