Early voting is underway in the United States for the midterm elections that will determine control of the House and Senate, as candidates try to rally last-minute support.

The 2022 United States elections are a series of elections that will take place primarily on November 8, 2022, also known as “Election Day.”
Democrats, on the other hand, are attempting to hold on to their congressional majorities for the final two years of President Joe Biden’s first term. Republicans are expected to win control of the House, while the race for control of the Senate appears to be close.
The president spent the weekend campaigning for Democrats in close races in New York and Pennsylvania, where former President Barack Obama helped Senate candidate John Fetterman defeat GOP opponent Dr. Mehmet Oz.
During this midterm election year, all 435 House of Representatives seats and 35 of the 100 Senate seats will be up for grabs.
There will be 39 state and territorial gubernatorial elections, as well as numerous other state and local elections. The outcome will determine the composition of the 118th United States Congress. This will be the first election impacted by redistricting as a result of the 2020 census.
According to reports from credible online sources, Democratic candidates outperformed historical trends, while candidates backed by Donald Trump or who denied the results of the 2020 election underperformed significantly. Concerns about the Republican Party’s respect for democratic norms, abortion rights, and a potential Trump election campaign in 2024 favored the Democrats.
Republicans kicked off the night with a rout in Florida, where Gov. Ron DeSantis won heavily Latino, historically Democratic districts on his way to a landslide victory that could serve as a springboard for a presidential run in 2024.
However, Democrats have fought back in the hours since. Democratic Lt. Gov. John Fetterman defeated Republican Mehmet Oz for the seat of retiring Republican Sen. Pat Toomey in Pennsylvania.
