- World football governing body Federation Internationale de Football Association(FIFA) has announced the launch of its own digital platform called the FIFA plus.
- Theplatform will offer free streaming services that include a mix of live soccer matches and archived content of the world cup and a library of other materials.

The platform is available globally on the web and mobile devices in five different languages namely; English, French, Germany,Portuguese and Spanish with more to follow.
The service will stream 40,000 live matches per year from 100 member associations across all six confederations including 29,000 men’s games and 11,000 women’s games.
1,400 matches will be streamed live in the first month.
Original content at launch includes a film about Ronaldinho and a six-part documentary about Dani Alves.
Archived footage includes a complete World Cup matches or just the highlights as well as collections on individual players like best goals and best assists.
