Charles leclerc takes pole ahead of Max Verstappen in Melbourne’s Albert Park.
Formula 1 Heineken Australian Grand Prix 2022 entered the third day of the qualifying. The day saw an estimated record-breaking attendance of 112,247 closing in to the previous record set in 2002 of 112,500.
Charles the Ferrari driver won the third qualifier after Red Bull drivers Verstappen and Perez won qualifiers one and two respectively. Verstappen came second in this race. The win by Charles means he will start the race at pole position ahead of Verstappen.
The race experienced difficulties such as low visibility due to sunking sun and also accidents when Fernando Alonso of team Alpine clashed out due to hydraulics issues but he managed to finish tenth.
Poor season start for the Mercedes continued as Lewis Hamilton finished in fifth.
The race will take place tomorrow.
