Benzema nets sensational hat-trick for Real Madrid in Champions League against Chelsea
Chelsea hosted Spanish giants Real Madrid at Stafford Bridge for the champions league quarter finals clash between the two.

Thevisitors were hit with challenges starting with their coach testing positive for COVID-19 and their captain Karim Benzema lacking the pass to get into the stadium but the situations cooled as the coach later tested negative and Karim got the pass. Despite these challenges Real lacked the visitor’s manners as they thrashed the hosts by 3-1 score line. Benzema scored the opening goal in the 21st minute with a header from a fine cross by Vinicius Jr.

Three minutes later Benzema headed his second of the day from a cross by Luka Modric. Chelsea got the consolation goal five minutes before the break from a great header by Kai Havertz. One minute into the second half Chelsea shot stopper Mendy did blunder that resulted to Karim completing his hattrick to clinch the win in the first leg away from home.
