TUSKER SNACH THREE POINTS IN TWO MINUTES

The boys of Robert Matano who are the reigning champions scored twice in three minutes against Ulinzi
Stars on Saturday 12th to extend their fine form to five consecutive unbeaten games.
Goals from
Jackson Macharia in the 63rd minute and Shami Mwinyi in the 65th minute were enough for Tusker to get
the three crucial points.
Thewin leaves Tusker in 6th position in the FKF Premier League table with
twenty nine points eight points off the league leaders Kakamega Homeboyz with a game in hand. The
defeat leaves Ulinzi trolling in thirteenth position with sixteen points with two games in hand.
In other fixtures that took place on the same day KCB played to a goalless draw against Bandari at the
City stadium while Talanta fc defeated Bidco united by one goal to nil. Sofapaka beat 10-men Wazito by
two goals to one.
Joseph Waithera and Lawrence Juma respectively scored in either half for Sofapaka
while Aziz Okaka got the consolation goal for Wazito in the 76th minute for him to be sent off in the 85th
minute with a red card.
At the Kasarani Annex Mathare united continued their poor form of three points
from five games after they were thrashed by three goals to one by league leaders Kakamega Homeboyz.
Kakamega homeboyz’s goals were scored by Yema, Opoku and Odhiambo while Wethuli got the only
goal for Mathare.
Thewin ended a run of three consecutive draws for Kakamega Homeboyz.
On Sunday AFC Leopards extended their fine form of three wins in four games after they beat Posta
Rangers by three goals to one. Leopards came from behind to get the win by scoring all their goals in the
second half. The win leaves Leopards on 11th with 24 points while Rangers sit on 8th with 26 points. In
another match Nzoia Sugar played to a 1-1 draw against Nairobi city stars. The match between Gor
Mahia and Vihiga was abandoned due to safety reasons after fans invaded the pitch. By the time of
abandoning the game Gor were leading by one goal.
After matchday 18 Kakamega Homeboyz are on top of the table with 37 points. Nairobi city , Kariobangi
sharks, KCB and Gor Mahia respectively make the top five. Nzoia Sugar, Mathare United and Vihiga risk
relegation after acquiring 12, 10 and 8 points respectively.
