But if you think for a second that Ronaldo is thinking about retirement on his 37th birthday, then you’re very much mistaken.
The Portuguese superstar shows absolutely no signs of slowing down and still has plenty to achieve in the game.
In fact, to celebrate his birthday, the Mirror have produced 11 records Ronaldo can still break before he finally hangs up his boots.
100 Premier League and La Liga goals
No player has ever scored 100 goals in both the Premier League and La Liga but Ronaldo will surely achieve that feat. He bagged 311 in Spain’s top-flight and needs just eight more in the Premier League. He might do it before the season is out.
Most goals in a Premier League season
Ronaldo broke this record back in the 2007-08 campaign when he scored 31 goals. However, Mohamed Salah now holds the record after his 32-goal haul in the 2017/18 season. While he won’t achieve it this season with just eight goals to his name in the Premier League, he’ll be looking to go again next campaign.
Oldest Golden Boot winner
Jamie Vardy holds this record after claiming the award in the 2019/20 season as a 33-year-old. Ronaldo has a lot of catching up to do if he’s to win it as a 37-year-old but perhaps he’ll claim the accolade next season after turning 38.
Oldest Premier League hat-trick
Teddy Sheringham currently has this record, scoring a hat-trick at the age of 37 years and 146 days. Ronaldo will have to wait another 146 days to try and beat it but we’re not betting against him…
Man Utd hat-tricks
It’s a surprise that Ronaldo has just one hat-trick to his name at Manchester United. It means that he needs to score another SEVEN to equal Wayne Rooney’s record of eight hat-tricks at the club. This one seems unlikely.

Real Madrid legend, Pace Gento, holds the record of six European Cups. But Ronaldo could become the first player to win six Champions Leagues if he lifts the iconic trophy once more in his career.
