Even though bible records Jesus Christ to be the very bible which was made flesh. John 1:14 “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.” There are so many prophets who before Christ deed most of what Christ.
For example raising the dead was one of the miracle done by Elijah with the shunamite son, healing the sick was also miracle done by the prophets of the old like the case of naaman and the leprosy where Elijah sent him to bath in a river seven times and he was healed.
Considering the above examples most of what Jesus was common to the prophets of old, but these two acts qualify him to the only Messiah the world had been waiting for.
1. He forgave sins
Jesus not only healed people from their deformities but he also forgave them their sins. This very act angered teachers of his time because such act was attributed to God and not mere man, this very act made them to accuse him of blasphemy. Example paralysed man on a mat who was passed through the roof( Mathew 9:2)
2. He offered his life to the enemy for the purpose of humanity
History records Jesus Christ is the only man who gave up his life for the purpose of mans wellness. The scripture records in John 5:13
There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.
