The Santiago Bernabeu hosted the second leg of the Champions League clash between Real Madrid who hosted Paris SG.

PSG came into this match withome win advantage when they beat Madrid at home by one goal to nil. Any win or draw for the Parisians would have qualified them to the next round due to aggregate goals but Real had other plans. PSG took the lead in the 34th minute with a goal from Kylian Mbappe but was ruled out due to offside.
Five minutes later Mbappe scored the first goal of the match and the only goal for his team when PSG caught Madrid on a counter attack and a well placed pass from Neymar Jr caught Mbappe onside who beat the Real’s defence and the goalkeeper to clinch a lead before halftime. In the second half Madrid became furious and we’re eager to win the game. In the 61st minute Karim Benzema cancelled Mbappe’s goal by scoring from a pass by Vinicius Jr. Karim went on to score a hattrick within 17 minutes when the scored twice in two minutes to complete his hattrick in the 78th minute. The three goals from the captain were enough to send Real Madrid into the last eight while sending PSG packing to go home.
The hattrick won the captain the Man of the match honor. PSG had many chances in the second half which saw another goal from Kylian being disallowed for offside. After the game PSG’s coach Mauricio Pochettino was furious with the referee’s officiating particularly for cancelling their two goals.
