The AFCON 2021 Competition will be will be reaching at it’s end today after the clash between Egypt,The Pharaohs, and Senegal,The Lions Of Teranga.
This AFCON final clash will be held at Olembe Stadium in Yaounde, Cameroon.Egypt has been recorded as the most successful team in AFCON.On the other hand,The Lions Of Teranga,Senegal has never won the final trophy in the AFCON tournament.
AFCON 2021 Edition final will be involving most experienced and attacking Liverpool FC duo facing off each other.Mohammed Salah will be leading Egypt as Senegal will be having Sadio Mane.
The two teams have met 12 times, Egypt recording a win in six games and Senegal emerging with victory 4 times.
During the tournament competition journey,The Pharaohs managed two goals In group matches edging out Guinea Bissau and Sudan with 1-0 Scorelines after losing their tournament opener 1-0 to Nigeria.
During the Knock out stage, Egypt beat Ivory coast 5-4 on Post match Penalties before edging out Morocco 2-1.They proceeded to the final after beating hosts, Cameroon 3-1 on penalties In the Semi-final.
The Lions Of Teranga also had an ordinary performance in Group stages.Two Stalemates against Guinea and Malawi followed a 1-0 win over Zimbabwe in the opener that helped them sneak through.
They also recorded a 2-0 win against Cape Verde,3-1 Scoreline against Equatorial Guinea and another 3-1 win over Burkina Faso during Semi Finals which helped them to advance to the Finals.
