Kenyan comedian Eric Omondi has called out the government under President William Ruto for allegedly failing Kenyans by giving fake promises and not doing enough to lower the cost of living.

Omondi, who was speaking about the high cost of living in the country, said that he is giving the government 90 days to take action or face a recall.
“I’m giving the Kenya Kwanza government 90 days to do something about the high cost of living in the country. Failure to which we are going to recall the government,” Omondi said.
He also accused the government of using “mpende msipende” (whether or you like it or not) to give fake promises to Kenyans.
“The government has been failing Kenyans by giving fake promises. They have been using ‘mpende msipende’ to lie to us,” Omondi said.
Omondi’s comments come at a time when the cost of living in Kenya is at an all-time high. Food prices have been rising steadily, and fuel prices have also increased.

The government has said that it is taking steps to address the high cost of living, but many Kenyans are skeptical.
It remains to be seen whether the government will be able to take action to lower the cost of living in the next 90 days. If it does not, Omondi’s call for a recall may gain traction.
