Xray, a Gengetone artist, revealed he was ecstatic after his song Sipangwingwi went viral and he was featured in the Kenya Kwanza song. Xray went ahead and released a remix of Sipangwigwi with President William Ruto.

The young artist admitted that he was initially concerned about receiving backlash for supporting a political figure, but Kenyans ended up loving the song.
Xray stated during an interview with a credible source on November 5, 2022, at the Choma Ngoma festival at the Carnivore Grounds about his relationship with the head of state:
“We are great friends. We talk and I have his phone number.” He added
Xray revealed that he spent an entire day with Ruto at his Karen residence before he became president, filming the Sipangwingwi remix, and that he and his wife, Mama Rachel, are such easygoing and humble souls.
“Nilishtuka sana kummeet. Ruto ni msee mfiti hata wife wake alinipatia number akanishow nikiwa na shida yeyote nimcall,” he said.
The talented artiste revealed that he was paid more than KSh 1,000,000 for the remix but refused to reveal the exact amount.
In response to Eric Omondi’s call to play 75% of Kenyan music, Xray stated:
“Sioni kama hiyo kitu itawork. You can’t force people to listen to it. The only thing tunafaa kufanya as Kenyans artistes is collaborate with artistes from other countries to push our music,” he said.
To him, Kenyan artists aren’t consistent with music.
“Local artistes aren’t consistent with music and release songs once in a while.” He added
The artiste, who has done collabos with several artistes, among them Khaligraph Jones and Sauti Sol, revealed he is taken.
“Our wedding is coming very soon.”
He went ahead and called upon the president William Ruto to support local music.
“Thanks for the support and expect more music from me soon,” Xray said.
However, Xray also disclosed that American actress Meagan Good is his crush
