Apostle Dan Wema Hospitalized After Sudden Illness

Philanthropist Apostle Dan Wema, widely known for his acts of kindness and generosity towards the less privileged, has been admitted to hospital after falling ill.
In a statement shared on his social media page, Apostle Wema revealed that he was rushed to the hospital at around 1 a.m., shortly after conducting an online fundraising drive for one of the people he was supporting, identified as Eric.
While he did not disclose the specific nature of his illness, he mentioned that he was later transferred to another hospital. The reason for the transfer remains unclear to the public, though it may have been related either to the level of medical services or the seriousness of his condition.
For the past few years, Apostle Wema has been using creative ways to support those in need. Through his social experiments, he often approaches strangers pretending to ask for food or even as little as 10 shillings. Those who show kindness are later rewarded with life-changing surprises, sometimes receiving as much as KSh 7,000 for their generosity.
This unique style of philanthropy has touched many lives across Kenya, making him a beloved figure among the less privileged.
Despite his good work, Apostle Wema has not been without criticism. Just a few weeks ago, some Facebook bloggers accused him of misusing donations, with claims that he was building a mansion using funds from his foundation. The controversy erupted after he revealed that the $1,270 he received from Meta would go towards paying school fees for underprivileged students a commitment he has consistently fulfilled in the past.
Regardless of the criticism, Apostle Wema’s impact in the country is undeniable. He has helped countless families, supported education for needy children, and inspired many through his unexpected acts of generosity.
As he battles illness, supporters and well-wishers across the nation are sending their prayers and messages of encouragement.
We join many others in wishing Apostle Dan Wema a speedy and full recovery.
