Alice Wahome Claps Back at Rigathi Gachagua: “I Won’t Be Intimidated”

Kenya’s political stage witnessed fresh fireworks after Lands Cabinet Secretary Alice Wahome fired back at Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, accusing him of downplaying her role in government and dragging her into unnecessary political squabbles.
Speaking boldly, Wahome made it clear she is not a pushover.
“He keeps provoking others, thinking I will be intimidated but I am not among those who fear him,” she said.
The CS accused the Deputy President of using insults and belittling remarks in an attempt to undermine her, adding that she has no intention of bowing to such pressure.
Wahome further warned Gachagua to keep her name out of his political battles, saying she is focused on her mandate at the Lands docket and serving Kenyans.
Her sharp response comes at a time when Gachagua has been increasingly vocal, often clashing with leaders in and outside government. Analysts see Wahome’s statement as a sign of growing cracks within the ruling administration, as top officials openly trade barbs.
While Gachagua is yet to respond to her latest remarks, Kenyans are already buzzing online, with some praising Wahome’s courage while others urging leaders to tone down the political theatrics and focus on service delivery.
