Kenyans are talking when DJ Evolve admitted he didn’t notice a gun when the Embakasi east MP honorable babu Owino was allegedly shot in 2020.
The DJ, whose true name is Felix Oginda, testified on Thursday as a defense witness in the legislator’s abuse of firearm case.
The DJ, who testified virtually from his bed, claimed he has no idea how he ended up in an ambulance.
But he admitted in court that he was hit by a bullet that day and injured; he just doesn’t know who fired it.
He continued by saying that Babu Owino is his friend and has helped him out with things like medical expenses.
Asking, “Did you see babu Owino with a gun?” When lawyer Duncan okatch inquired, ” no we were just having a conversation,” DJ Evolve replied.
I don’t know which gun fired the round that harmed me,” he continued. The ambulance is taking me to the hospital right now…After learning that Babu Owino was on my side, I felt relieved since friends should always have your back.
Some Kenyans who commented online speculated that the DJ may have been swayed by the MP’s financial and emotional support in his decision to defend him.
Captain: This testimony is shocking. Money can really buy people indeed. Absolutely sad!!
Brian: This is what they mean when they say ‘money talks’
Chief: Poverty is a great enemy. It makes some virtues impracticable, and others extremely difficult ~ Samuel L Jackson.
The youthful ODM Legislator alleged last week that he has so far spent KSH 56 million on the DJ’s medication.
