Many Kenyans, particularly those from the Mt. Kenya region, are familiar with Geoffrey Mwangi, or Kianangi, the still-lost King of Kikuyu comedy. Before his mysterious disappearance in 2017, Kianangi was a top vernacular entertainer with a great sense of humor.
The tragic story of his kidnapping began in September of 2017 when the King of Kikuyu Comedy was on his way to Thika, Kiambu County, to visit his sick mother in the hospital.

Some say that a famous vernacular comedian who travelled to Thika was abducted by strangers while he was there. After his car was found in Membley, where his alleged kidnappers had abandoned it, the public became aware of the situation.
Kasarani Police Station was informed about Kianangi’s mysterious disappearance. Although they tried to find him, so far they have been unsuccessful.

I pray that God’s great hand of healing will be extended to the Geoffrey Mwangi family who have been dealing with memories ever since, holding on to the hope that Geoffrey Mwangi will return home.
