It’s amazing that a politician would rather go shopping for school clothes herself than make a decision to puck someone else to do it. It’s very admirable, and it shows that she has humility, which is a necessary quality for a leader of a country.
Karen Nyamu thinks it’s smart to get the uniforms as soon as possible since school starts on January 23rd, 2023.
Nyamu, a senator, manages her own organization called the karenNyamu foundation, through which she helps disadvantaged kids and children get the school supplies they need, including new uniforms.
Karen Nyamu can be seen shopping at Uhuru Market, one of the largest markets in Nairobi, for school uniforms for students attending a variety of different schools. She’s doing fantastic work helping disadvantaged youngsters stay in school.
It’s clear that this isn’t something she typically does. In the photographs, she looks exhausted.
