Lily Frilly sells a variety of girly accessories, including hair bows, backpacks, lunch boxes, and skirts. The brand’s line of basics for girls is bright and glittery in an effort to foster a sense of self-worth in them. Lily is just as at ease when she is by herself.

According to an interview Lily gave to the black business magazine Black Enterprise, she said, “I own my own company.

Lily’s mother, Courtney Adeleye, is also an entrepreneur, so she gave her the encouragement and resources she needed to launch the company. She started the popular haircare brand The Mane Choice, which you can find at Target, and serves as its CEO. She has been an advocate for female entrepreneurs, even urging her own daughter to strike out on her own.

“I realized Lily had an entrepreneurial spirit when she was 3,” Courtney recalled. We didn’t wait till she was an adult to help her achieve her dreams because she saw me establish a successful business from the ground up when she was a child.
