Kenyans have been taken aback by a video circulating on social media of former secular artist and now ordained pastor Size 8 exorcising demons.

The video was shot during what appeared to be a nighttime outdoor crusade in which the gospel artist cast out demons from a possessed person. Prior to the exorcismize, 8 reveals that she saw the demons move from the lady’s head to the rest of her body.
She also stated that God revealed to her while she was praying that He would be releasing those who were under Satan’s control.
“Ako na pepo inatembea kwa mwili yake, inatoka kwa kichwa inazunguka. Na asubui nilipokua ninaomba, Yesu aliniambia anakuja kutoa wafungwa kwa mifungo za shetani katika jina la Yesu.”
The video has received criticism from those who believe Size 8 lacks the spiritual weight to cast out demons, while others applaud her for her efforts.
This is not the first time Size 8 has been chastised for casting out demons. Another video of Size 8 exorcising demons from a man elicited mixed reactions from netizens not long ago.
Size 8 can be seen in the video addressing the demons that had possessed the man and commanding them to leave him because he appeared to be rebellious to her.
Size 8 was heard in the video saying that the demon-possessed man was a pastor, even as the demons became hesitant to let him go.
The man was not the only one whom the gospel minister cast out demons from as there was another lady who was uncontrollably loud and Size 8 was well heard commanding her to be silent which she obeyed.
Another group of netizens criticized her attire during the service, which included a black and orange tracksuit and white sports shoes. They felt that that is not what a gospel minister should put on when ministering, let alone casting out demons.
Many people were skeptical that Size 8 could cast out demons because she had previously worked as a secular artist. But who are we to pass judgment on spiritual matters?
Size 8 was ordained as a pastor a few months ago at JCC Thika Road, and she has since been providing online services to her followers, as well as live church services and devotions on occasion.
She once described her life as a movie based on her experiences since her days in secular music.
