It has been announced that a fuel price hike in Kenya is imminent. After President William Ruto’s daring choice on his inauguration day, fuel costs are set to skyrocket, according to Hustler Nation Spokesperson Dennis Itumbu.

President William Ruto’s great day was the announcement of the immediate elimination of the fuel subsidy. The fuel subsidy was issued by the former administration so that Kenyans may purchase petrol at a cheaper price.

Because of the removal of the subsidy, Kenyans will have to make greater sacrifices to meet their gasoline needs.
Since most businesses need fuel to produce things, the price of almost everything else is likely to rise as a result.

Itumbi predicted that as a result, fuel prices would skyrocket, but that this marked the end of “shortcuts” that benefited only a select few.
In his address to the Kenyan people, Itumbu said that the fuel subsidy was designed to enrich a small group of people.

A small group, including multinational corporations, used the subsidy to line their pockets. Profit was guaranteed at the expense of Kenyan taxpayers. Living expenses continued to rise while that was happening,” he said.
