After the Supreme Court of Kenya’s ruling, Azimio parliamentary group member and presidential candidate Rt Hon Raila Amolo Odinga made his first public appearance at the Maasai lodge Hotel in Kajiado, where he was joined by outgoing president H.E. Uhuru Kenyatta.
Miguna said that Raila was shaking like a leaf because of the oath.
Finally speaking out, Hon. Odinga has dropped some wisdom on Kenyans and their leaders, warning them that long after he is gone, they will remember his words about how they handed the Kenyan democracy over to the “wrong” custodians.
When this country is going to the dogs, you should not give up because we have come so far. These words I am saying you now will remain with you long after I am gone, he promised.
Odinga is widely admired as a strong democratic leader who battled for Kenyans’ second liberation.
However, he has attempted to ascend to Kenya’s highest office with five separate stabs at the president (in 1997, 2007, 2013, 2017, and 2022) without success.
