Some kenyan artist having started well with promising tunes to forever stay in godly ways, to the shock of many fans have not be able to keep their words especially to their fans.

It is a common believe that truth doesn’t change and therefore can forever be relied on to give the same effects or even more. Truth is founded on principles and not details something which makes it totally reliable.

Here is a list of Kenyan artist who begun as gospel artist then later changed to secularism.

    1. Willy paul

Former gospel artist ditched the gospel industry and switched to doing secular music. The kitanzi hit maker through his Instagram account went on to give reasons why he had quit gospel industry such as deejays refusing to play his music saying it wasn’t up to the standard that was required for them to play on air and hate and betrayal from his close friends forced him out of gospel music

    2. Bahati Kenya

The incoming Mathare mp bahati Kenya and now mtoto was Mathare started his music career as gospel artist and after change to secular music. Speaking during an interview with Churchill Raw host MC Jessy, bahati explained that he had to disentangle from the industry after years of antagonism.

“I was fought a lot in the gospel industry so when I do a gospel song, I do it for God, not for the people. I just separated myself from the Gospel industry for a while, but I’m in Christ and the Lord is my personal saviour. I think right now Wanani is the most played song in the country, and it’s because it requested for by secular and gospel fans because I’m still a son of Christ,” said Bahati. The machozi hit maker said that his decision was as a result of frustrations.

    3. Weezdom

In April 2020, Weezdom ditched the gospel music industry because of what he termed as too much hatred in the gospel world.
