President Uhuru Kenyatta has hinted at one of the reasons that led to the fallout with his deputy William Ruto.
Addressing the delegates gracing the Mt Kenya region major political meeting convened at the Sagana State Lodge in Nyeri, Uhuru said he was opposed to Ruto’s early campaigns immediately after their re-election in 2017.
The president revealed that he asked his deputy to focus on the delivery of the government agenda but all was in vain.
“I told William Ruto that the time for campaigns would come but there was a time for everything and that time was time to work because work changes livelihoods,” he said.
