On the night of 12/13 February 1990, just like today, former Foreign Minister of Kenya Robert Joseph Ouko disappeared from his Koru Farm complex near Muhoroni.

Forensic evidence suggested Ouko had been murdered by a single shot to the head, his right leg broken innywo places and his body left partially burned.
According to a 2010 investigation submitted to parliament, the murder took place in one of then-President Daniel arap Moi’s official residences.
It also urged for more probes against high officials, including Nicholas Biwott, one of Moi’s closest associates, who denies any responsibility.
The report was rejected by Parliament in late December 2010 due to a lack of unity and differences within the committee.
