Former Gatanga Mp Peter Kenneth has said that President Uhuru Kenyatta has the influence to give a political direction to Mount KENYA region ahead of August polls.
Speaking at Kiamaina in Mathira after Wairimu Ngubuini who is the mother to industrialist Peter Kuguru, Kenneth added that president will lead the Jubilee troops to criss-cross Central Kenya popularizing the party.
He rubbished the perceived lead by Deputy President William Ruto in the presidential race saying Ruto has been running alone but other candidates have showed up and the true front runner will be revealed soon.
He further downplayed any UDA influence in Central Region saying the euphoria is a mirage and Jubilee party will erase any gains.
He added that people should wait for the Jubilee NDC where the President will give direction but he said that he supports the candidature of Raila Odinga in presidential race.
Kenneth who is being taunted as possible successor of Uhuru in the region said that Odinga has every right to choose who he wants as his running mate adding that he is equal to task.
