
Minority Leader John Mbadi Ejected From Parliament for five consecutive house sittings For Disorderly Conduct.
Minority Leader in the National Assembly and ODM Party Chairman John Mbadi has been ordered to stay away from parliament for 5 days over disorderly conduct in Wednesday’s afternoon session which saw the House adjourned for 15 minutes amid chaos.
Luanda MP Chris Omulele who was chairing the session Mbadi guilty of misconduct after punching Koros in the face.
Speaking to the press, Mbadi faulted the ruling saying the speaker unilaterally arrived at the decision without following the standing orders.
According to Mbadi, Koros was insisting on voting for an absent member despite being cautioned against the move by the clerks.
“Honourable Mbadi, you are hereby directed to leave the presence of this house for gross disorder. You are ordered to withdraw immediately from the presence for a minimum of five days Christopher Omulele, Parliament’s Fourth Chairperson of Committees stated.
The special House session which Speaker Justin Muturi had called to discuss the contentious Political Parties Amendment bill was adjourned for 15 minutes after the sitting degenerated into chaos in the house.
Mbadi exchanged blows with Soin Member of Parliament Kipsengeret Koross reportedly injuring Koross on the face during the fracas.
Koross was also directed to seek medical assistance following the incident that left him with a gash below his eye.
Tigania West Member of Parliament John Mutunga and his Suna West counterpart Peter Masara were also seen hurling water bottles at each other though none of them was injured.
