Corazon Kwamboka was very surprised when she got pregnant with what would become her first child in 2019.

What many might not know is the difficulty with which that feat was for her. In a recent interview with the Daily nation, the lawyer who is engaged to fitness influencer, Frankie Kiarie, spoke more on her difficult road to getting pregnant.
Corazon explained to the paper that she had been diagnosed with both endometriosis and fibroids, conditions that can affect a woman’s fertility.

The prominent socialite found out that she had endometriosis 3 years ago. But she could remember that she had always had painful menses from the time she was 16.
“I feel like the discovery that I had endometriosis was divine, that God wanted me to find out. I would have never gone to the hospital to find out why I had painful periods,” Corazon said.

After looking for the cause of her painful menses with many different doctors and different hospitals, Corazon finally got her answer when she asked her cousin who had a similar condition, to help her.
“She referred me to her gynaecologist, whose recommendation and insistence on a second scan led us to find out that I had two cysts. He advised that I had to go under the knife, and I eventually got laparoscopic surgery in January of 2019.”
Her doctor would then put her on medication that would stop her periods from coming for 6 months.

When she finally got her period again, the pain that had tormented her was no longer there. That wasn’t all, she would soon get pregnant.
The soon-to-be mother of two confided to the paper that she wasn’t actively looking for a baby when she conceived as she knew that her condition was linked to infertility.

“I wasn’t actively looking for a child then, but I wanted to be able to have the chance to have one when I was ready or when I wanted to. Endometriosis was threatening that, and it had to be addressed immediately. When I got the diagnosis, I finally realised why I had never even had a pregnancy scare like other girls.”
Corazon also told the paper that her fibroids were removed during a caesarean section to deliver my baby.
