Marya Okoth, the girlfriend of former Churchill show comedian Oliver Otieno nicknamed YY comedian, has provided an update on her health after becoming paraplegic after giving birth.
Marya said in a video posted on her Facebook page that she is doing well after being unable to walk for over 5 months.
She also thanked fans and followers who have been praying for her since it was announced that she is ill.
“Hi guys my name is Marya Okoth and for the past 5 months, I have not been able to walk. Unfortunately, and throughout this period most of you have been putting me in your prayers and I really appreciate all of you for that.
“And even those of you who have been coming to my DM with comforting messages, May God Bless you,”.
Marya flashed back to June 3rd, when she awoke with a nonfunctional leg. She also attempted to clarify that she had never been in an accident.
“What can I render unto Jehova all I have to say is thank you God😭😭🎺🎤This is all ave been singing for the past 4 days. I can’t believe am on my feet again, without any form of support whatsoever 😓 I look back to the day I was unable to walk-June 3rd-I lost hope in life honestly. Tell me how you digest the fact that you can’t feel your leg suddenly.
She added; “I didn’t fall, I wasn’t involved in a road accident as many of you think, I didn’t hit myself anywhere…I just woke up with a nonfunctional leg…I WILL TELL THIS STORY ONE DAY!😭😭😭 For now, feel encouraged my people. Lesson learnt..God gives and God takes, never taken anything for granted. Thank you God for a second chance🙏🙏 Thank you for your prayers my people..God awabless,”.
Sharing the video of his lover taking her first steps with the help of crutches YY wrote; “God of health…Glory be to you always🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼@marya_okoth,”.
