An award winning journalist, Willis Raburu who works at Citizen TV as news presenter, has honored his father as a source of stability and wisdom as he turns a year older in style.
Raburu’s father, Peter Otieno Raburu, is celebrating his birthday today, with the television host describing him as a man of great wisdom, moral fortitude, and confidence.
“Happy birthday to the man! Man of Infinite wisdom, courage, strength, poise, dedication, integrity, love for God, humility and grace! A leader, my hero. Peter Otieno Raburu! Love you dad! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!” Willis Raburu wrote.
The 10 over 10 host went on his official Twitter account and posted photos of his father enjoying the cool breeze in Malindi’s coastal region, where the family had surprised him a few days before.
Raburu and his siblings took their father to Malindi without informing him of their plans. This is quite a good gesture that Willis is showing his aged father.
The Citizen TV anchor’s father was taken aback when they finally revealed that they were in Malindi to celebrate his birthday.
Although he did not share the age that his father, Peter Raburu, was referring to, it is assumed that he is over 70 years old.
Willi Raburu and his siblings surprised their father with a sweet vacation to Malindi for his birthday celebrations last week on October 4 without his knowledge.
As seen in the film that Ivy and Raburu posted on their insta stories, the media celebrity and his wife, Ivy Namu, shared a video demonstrating how their father was surprised to learn about the vacation.
Raburu senior, a former Nyanza Provincial Commissioner (PC), screamed, “I can’t believe it!” shaking his head in bewilderment, wondering how his family had honored him.
In shock at what his children had done to him just days before his birthday, he ran out of words and continuously shouted, “Oh my God!”
Willis’ wife, Ivy Namu, his sister Mueni Raburu, and his mother were all in attendance to celebrate their father’s birthday.
