In November of 1967, Wavinya Ndeti entered the world. She has a BS in computer science from South Bank University in the UK and a diploma in Business Systems, Analysis and design from the Computer Training Centre in the UK.

Business administration master’s degree from the University of Harriot-Watt in the United Kingdom; business systems, analysis, and design master’s degree from City University of London.

Wavinya is the first woman to be elected as a member of parliament for the Kathiani constituency in Kenya’s history and the current governor of Machakos county.

She has also served as an assistant minister in the ministry of youth affairs and as a cabinet assistant secretary in the ministry of transport. In addition to her political and leadership roles, Ndeti is also a successful businesswoman and farmer.

She has a multimillion-dollar farm in Machakos, where she grows bananas, beans, corn, fruit, vegetables, and even raises animals.
Wavinya decided to start farming because she feels it is the key to ending hunger in her community, despite the fact that the rainy season is short and the dry season is long.

She runs her farm on drip irrigation and manages it in her spare time. Check out the farm down there;
