Masauti, a musician from the coast who goes by the name Mohammed Ali Said, has announced that he was in a serious car crash yesterday.
In an Instagram post, the “Kiboko” singer said he and several friends were on their way to Nairobi from Mombasa when tragedy struck. Masauti said a lorry hit them from behind and then drove away from the scene in Mariakani.
The musician said a prayer of thanks as he wrote his message, praising God that no one had been wounded in the mishap.
However, the car they were riding in was severely damaged and now necessitates immediate mechanical attention. Masauti posted images of the truck that was responsible for the tragedy and then disappeared.
“Salama, tulipata ajali leo tukitoka Mombasa ya Nairobi ila tunashukuru Mungu. Alhamdhulilla.” As Masauti said it in his writings
The musician has recently been at the height of his fame, to the point where he built a home in the hamlet for his mother. Masauti has been silent on whether or not he informed the authorities. We hope and pray that he can recover quickly from the ordeal.
