A native of Nakuru County, Samuel’ s birthplace is Subukia. One of six sons, he is the third to enter the world. He comes from a very simple background. When he was only three years old, his father passed away.
Even as a little child, Samidoh loved to sing and play the piano. When he was a student, he served as choir director. He also oversaw the Christian Union’ s praise band.

After finishing high school, he left his hometown and moved to Nairobi, where he eventually became a backup singer for Kamande Wa Kioi’ s band. Samidoh had a sibling who played the drums in the group.
He was with the group for over two years. A time came in his career when he had to spread his wings beyond Kamande Wa Kioi’ s support and become a solo artist.

Samuel Muchoki, alias Samidoh, the mug of this maestro, was on the receiving end after posting photos of himself with the soon- to- be deputy governor of Nairobi county, Hon. Njoroge Muchiri.
The Kikuyu Mugithi singer then went on to congratulate Muchiri and his running mate, Governor Johnson Sakaja, on their election victory. He went on to say that Muchiri’ s success should serve as motivation for the people of Nyandarua to set and attain lofty goals of their own.

However, other Kenyans responded negatively to the artist’ s tweet, accusing Samidoh of profiting off of someone else’ s hard work. Internet users were quick to point out that he had actively supported Azimio’ s election.
” Lesson to learn, people associate with you when you succeed, otherwise, ” a Kenyan by the name of Rozie Peter commented on Samidoh’ s post.
The artist seemed rattled by this comment and went ahead to reply to Rozie. ” Ask yourself when will they associate with you. ”
Cecilia Muriuki, another internet user, pleaded with Samidoh in a comment to spare Kenya Kwanza from the Azimio virus.

As before, the musician was quick to respond to Cecilia. He continued by saying that because the data was posted on his wall, he had no obligation to anyone.
The local musician was part of a band that played prominent roles in supporting Raila Odinga’ s presidential campaign in Mt. Kenya.
