A woman who had been trolling the streets of Eldoret in search of a husband has been seen out and about with her new man.
On the streets of Eldoret town on the morning of April 8, Lucy Chemutai, well known by her nickname Chepkam, was holding a poster.
The people who came to Chepkam for the hustle and bustle of the city had a different goal in mind. In her mind, she needed to find a husband. Chepkam was seen in public with a billboard announcing her desire to find a husband.
She had purposefully chosen terms that stood out on her poster to draw attention to it.
“Men to marry are in short supply. I’m in the market for a committed husband. The requisite age is not a factor “on her sign it said.
The poster also stated that the prospective bride did not need to be wealthy or attractive as long as her future spouse was still alive.
Later that night, Chepkam met the man who would become her lifelong partner. There was a picture of her and her husband floating around the web. Chepkam’s smile lit up the camera, and it was clear that she was very happy.
The photo of her received a lot of attention and comments from Kenyans. People couldn’t believe how soon she found a husband, they said.
