In this article I would like to define Wisdom as the ability to understand that there is power greater than self in the world. Something which can only became true when the element of faith is welcomed.
Most of us from our Sunday school teachings are familiar with the famous solomonic scripture which notes the fear of the Lord is the begining of wisdom (proverbs 9:10). However have you ever taken your time to really analyse what wisdom entails, how is it attained and what are some of its benefits after getting it?
In this article I am going to talk about scriptures which show how costly this gift of the holy spirit is.
1. Proverbs 4:7
Wisdom is the most valuable commodity—so buy it! Revelation-knowledge is what you need—so invest in it!
Something which has to be bought is relatively expensive
2. Proverbs 23:23
Buy the truth and do not sell it—
wisdom, instruction and insight as well.
the word sell here means loose it or give it away to others freely
3. Proverbs 16:16
How much better to get wisdom than gold, and good judgment than silver.
According to the earthen standard gold and silver are the most expensive commodities in the earth anyone can have however ascribe wisdom to be the most expensive thing therefore incomparable.
4. Proverbs 8:11
For wisdom is far more valuable than rubies. Nothing you desire can compare with it.
all the expensive thing you can ever think of can never be compared to wisdom
