At the Etihad Gabriel Jesus scored four of Manchester City’s five goals against the relegation threatened Watford who got a consolation goal from Kamara. The win boosted their hopes of winning the title as they went four points ahead of their opponents Liverpool.
On a Super Sunday Brighton drew to Southampton in a mouthwatering clash that ended in 2-2 draw. Burnley beat Wolves by a goal to place them out of the relegation zone. In another fixture a late strike by Cristian Pulisic helped Chelsea beat West Ham by a goal to nil in the London derby.
In another derby of the day Liverpool kept the chase for the title on by beating Everton by two goals to nil. Robertson and Origi’s goals moved the Reds to one point behind league leaders City thus keeping their hope for the title high.
