AN OPEN LETTER TO RAILA ODINGA AND AZIMIO BRIGADE.
“Hi,Kindly hide my identity,I come from Luo land and I have been an ardent supporter of Raila Odinga since time immemorial.I have voted him four times in which his presidency have been in vain.
Longtime Kenyan opposition leader Raila Odinga is throwing a stab for the fifth attempt at the presidency in the forthcoming general election slated for August 2022. He has been at the core of Kenyan politics for more than a quarter of a century, but has consistently failed to clinch power in three attempts that successively appeared to be the best shot. What does Raila bring to the table this time round and what hurdles must he jump to finally clinch Kenya’s top seat?
Having maintained the friendship amongst his newly found allies,I must remind him that he’s going to face a person who has upstaged a big name in his political career path,known to many his close contender Dr.William Ruto denied him presidency in 2013 and 2017.The victory of Uhuruto for the two terms was under the force of William Ruto.
In 2007,the same Daktari delivered a victory to Raila Odinga,election that was marred with irregularities,had it been without the efforts of William Ruto and the Kalenjin community,Raila wouldn’t have made it to become the prime minister.
In my factual observation,I’m using the recently conducted nominations as a test for the water.Raila Odinga dictatorial negotiation is still brewing in every corner of the country,especially the Luo land community.The direct tickets that has been issued by the ODM leader has shown how selective and dictatorial the party is.This has angered a number of wanjiku within Siaya,Kisumu and Homabay.
The nominations has punctured ODM party and this may lead to voter apathy in the regions,this is the bullet that Hon.Raila Odinga must bite.For a number of decades,we especially the backyard community have developed the fear of facing the reality on the rot that has been in existence within ODM.Nobody preferred the negotiated consensus on issuing of the certificates.
Ruto had just conducted his nationwide nominations, and this should be an eye opener to Azimio brigade that they’re competing a man who is armoured financially,an orator and a socialite man who is close to the hustler wanjikus,whether on pretence or not.
I’m siding with the truth that without the support of President Uhuru Kenyatta Raila Odinga may not make it that far.Azimio has to wake up, and put their inputs together.”
