Remedies for sore muscles
Sore muscles can be very uncomfortable and this demands that you get some relief. Stretching, doing low-intensity cardio such as walking or swimming is the way to get relief faster.
The silver-lining is that light recovery exercises feel so good. And in addition to feeling good, they offer other health benefits like pumping more blood through the muscles. The increase in blood flow may help you recover from soreness sooner. So long as you aren’t overloading or challenging the muscles more.
If you are the type that loves massages, a session at the spa would be ideal in the process of getting back your muscles. Whatever you do, don’t stop going to the gym.
What is soreness?
Soreness of muscles is nothing but microscopic tears or breakdown in muscle tissue due to the fact that they are not used to this new movement. The body fixes the tears and builds them up to protect them against future damage. This is how you trick your body to grow your biceps and to turn your beer keg into a six-pack. So long as you get enough protein in your diet.
Don’t be too enthusiastic though. Over-training can be harmful to your health.
